What I Offer!
Whether you're a newbie or a gym veteran, I've got something just for you!
Bodybuilding isn't only about getting big and packing on muscle. It's about sculpting your body in a balanced, aesthetically pleasing way. We'll work on targeted exercises that enhance your natural physique, focusing on proportionality and symmetry.
If you're looking to build raw strength, powerlifting is the way to go. We'll focus on compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, and pressing movements, making sure your form is impeccable for maximum gains and minimum injury risk.
Strength & Conditioning
Think of this as a mix of both bodybuilding and powerlifting. You'll build strength while also improving your endurance, agility, and speed. Whether you're an athlete or someone looking to improve their overall fitness, this program will get you right where you need to be!
Nutrition has a far-reaching impact on the health of your body and your mind, and new evidence is supporting a strong link between nutrition and mental health. Although I don’t belong to a single nutrition philosophy, I believe that good nutrition:
asks you to care about the food you are eating,
focuses on food quality,
helps to eliminate nutrient deficiencies,
helps to control appetite and food intake,
promotes regular exercise,
and should not be an overwhelming task.
More importantly, good nutrition helps us look, feel, and perform our best. Thus, nutrition is about far more than managing calories. I'll help you make smarter food choices for a healthier body and mind. I'll assess your current eating habits, identify areas for improvement, and help you implement changes gradually. This is not a one-size-fits-all plan. It's customized to you, taking into account your metabolism, activity levels, and nutritional needs.
Prenatal and Postnatal Fitness
Pregnancy doesn't mean you have to put your fitness journey on hold. With tailored workouts and nutritional advice, I’ll help you stay active and healthy during this special time. Post-pregnancy, I'll guide you through regaining your strength and fitness safely and effectively.
Particularly aimed at older adults, this program focuses on improving balance and muscle strength to reduce the risk of falls. Exercises are low-impact but effective, targeting key muscle groups that stabilize you.
Core Strengthening for Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain is a common complaint that can often be addressed with proper core strengthening. My targeted exercises that I utilized to rehabilitate myself from two major spinal surgeries will work to improve your core muscles, providing better support for your back and alleviating pain.
Post Physical Therapy Fitness
Simply because you've completed your physical therapy doesn't mean your fitness journey is over. My program helps you transition back into regular exercise, ensuring that you continue to make progress without risking re-injury.
In today's fast-paced world, it's challenging for most of us to maintain a clean, whole-foods diet 100 percent of the time. Even if we do, declining soil quality, a growing toxic burden, and other challenges of the modern world have made it difficult to meet our nutrient needs through food alone.
The fact is, food today is nowhere near as nutritious as it was fifty years ago. So, no matter how healthy you eat, you're not really eating healthy. As a Fullscript Affiliate Nurse, I have access to lines of products to help close the gaps in your diet and ensure that you're getting all the nutrients you need to thrive—not just survive—and live a long, healthy life.
Health and Wellness Coaching
From blood pressure to stress management, I’ll make sure you're not only fit but also healthy. Being a masters prepared nurse educated from a top ranked program and having worked in functional medicine, I have the knowledge and understanding to review your medical history and blood tests as to guide you in making informed decisions regarding your nutrition and exercise. I'll look at markers like cholesterol levels, glucose levels, and other vital signs to give you a comprehensive understanding of your health. From there, we'll develop a strategy to improve any areas that need attention, incorporating both exercise and nutrition plans.
For example, I take blood pressure and heart rate measurements because high blood pressure, or hypertension, is the most important risk factor for premature death, accounting for half of all deaths caused by cardiovascular disease and 13.5% of all deaths each year.
Behavioral and lifestyle changes that I can teach you will help lower your blood pressure and resting heart rate while increasing your heart rate variability, which are signs of cardiovascular health, efficiency, and nervous system resilience. In addition, I offer evidenced-based guidance on hydration, sleep hygiene, stress management, and mindfulness so you can cultivate the awareness of yourself and your surroundings, build your resilience, and hone your ability to find a greater level of inner peace even as you move through life's inevitable ups and downs.
